5 Months

What a sweet little lady Zoey is turning out to be. She is so happy and smiley. She is getting stronger and wants so badly to sit up. She will put whatever is in front of her in her mouth. And she will grab at my drink until she gets some. I started her on rice cereal. She’s not too sure about it, but loves trying to get it to her mouth. The taste can’t be great, and she certainly doesn’t cry for more, but it’s fun for her to try. She rolls over and when she’s laying down will crunch up like she’s trying to sit up. She grabs her feet when I’m changing her diaper and it’s so cute. When I say her name or talk to her she smiles and sometimes will make cute giggles or noises. She'll put her hand in her mouth or kick her feet. Everything about her is just adorable. I can’t get enough!! The boys lover her, too and she is all smiles most of the time. (Unless hungry, tired or in need of a diaper change). She is at a really fun stage and I love watching her grow. She is doing much better in the car and hardly gets fussy when I strap her in. I don't know what to do with her hair. Some days its fluffy and other days I do the piggy thing. She's cute no matter what. I love having a girl.

4 Months

My Zoey girl is 4 months already!!! She weighs 14 1/2 pounds and is still as cute as ever. She puts everything in her mouth and reaches for whatever is in front of her. She still sleeps through the night (what an angel!) and she takes several naps during the day. She follows noises and if you walk by her, she will follow you with her eyes. She smiles at you and laughs so cute. She normally doesn't cry much, however after this round of immunizations she has been nothing but fussy. In fact, today at church, she cried the entire time the sacrament was passed. Pat had to work, so I was with the kids by myself. I tried so hard to calm her down, but she wouldn't have it. I finally had to take her out and we missed the most important part of church. And during her outburst, the boys were at it, fighting and shouting. I was so embarrassed. Darn kids. Anyway, Zoey is a sweetheart. I bought her a little lovey, because she is always grabbing things and cuddling them. She is so cute with it. She will hug it and it helps her go to sleep. I've been trying to get her to take a binkie and she'll take it half the time. She loves sucking, so I know if she'd take it she'd be so much happier. I painted her cute toes to match mine. I am loving my sweet baby girl.

What's New with Zozers

I cannot love this little girl enough! Every day I can't imagine my life without her. She makes me smile. And she is getting big fast. She already has strong legs that won't bed when you stand her up. She has fat little rolls that are to die for!!! She is always playing with her hands and started to grab onto things. She chews on her tongue sometimes. You can tell when she is tired, because she just start sucking like she is eating and her eyes start to roll back. She has the cutest laugh and smile. She sits up so good in her high chair and just recently I got her exer-saucer out and she likes (not loves) it. She is a rock star sleeper and sleeps through the night and takes great naps during the day. The only thing she doesn't like...her car seat. When she is traveling in the car, she is one grumpy girl. I can deal with that. I {heart} Zoey!

The Sleep Situation

I decided that once Zoey was 3 months old she should sleep in her room. I realized the other day that she turned 3 months already! I was not prepared for that. I have loved having her in my room in her little bassinet next to my bed (I could just peek over at her). Well, little is right. She almost doesn't fit in it anymore, so it's a good thing her crib is ready for her!! It's been 2 nights that she's slept in her own room by herself now. It's all I can do to take her out and stick her in bed with me. I could watch her and hold her for hours. And she sleeps great. Probably for a week now she's been sleeping through the night. And when she does wake up, she doesn't cry. I hear her rustling around and sucking her hands. I am so in love with that little girl, it's not even funny! I pick her up 100 times a day and can't help feeling so much love. How can I not want 10 more? {I look at my boys and that's all the birth control I need. Haha!}

The Small Things

I always say that I'll never forget how Zoey is as a baby. But in a few years, my memory will slowly fade and the details won't be so fresh. I want to remember the small things, so THANK GOODNESS for blogs! Zoey laughed for the first time yesterday. It was so cute. She's cooed before, but this time she full on laughed. I was in the kitchen doing some things, and had Zoey sitting in her high chair so she could be close to me. I was playing peek-a-boo with her and would hide under the high chair and then pop up. She loved it and so did I!! Another BIG small moment was she slept through the night last night. Yup, she went down at 9:30 and slept 'til 6:30 a.m. the next morning. What a good girl! I just love love love her. She turned 3 months old on Tuesday. My, how time is flying.

2 Months

I can't believe that Zoey is 2 months old already. She is the best! I just can't stop holding her and kissing her. She smiles a lot and doesn't cry unless she is hungry or tired. When I change her diaper, she kicks her legs in the cutest way. She is a pretty good sleeper, but wakes up once or twice during the night. She hates being in the car, but as soon as I crank the tunes, she stops. She doesn't really like a binkie yet, but her fingers find their way to her mouth. She could eat all day if I let her. I love watching her grow (and sleep, which she does a lot!). Isn't she cute?

Zoey's Blessing

We had Zoey's blessing on Sunday. It was just beautiful!! Pat did a great job blessing her. We had a luncheon after and lots of our family came. Zoey is such a sweet heart. My mom made her dress and it was exactly what I wanted for Zoey. Nothing too frilly or fancy, just simple and cute. (Thanks Mom!) It was a wonderful day.
